Why Melcole
The person you talk to is the person who builds it.
No account manager. No handoff to a junior team. No discovery call that quietly turns into a pitch. You describe the problem to the person who is going to solve it.
What you're buying
What you actually get
Most firms hand over a login and call it delivered. The documentation is the part that decides whether any of it is still running a year later.
- A system built around your process, not a platform your staff has to work around
- A process map and a runbook, so anyone can run it without calling you
- Written documentation, so the system survives the person who runs it leaving
- Full ownership of everything built for you, including the code
- A straight answer when the honest one is that you do not need us
The founder
Mercedeez Coleman
For years it looked like I could not pick a lane. I built software. I ran the back office of an organization from the day it opened. I trained front office staff, and trained them again when they turned over. I advocated for families in special education meetings. I helped people rewrite resumes and structure new businesses.
It took a long time to see that it was never different work. Look at how something actually runs, find where it breaks, build the system that fixes it, and teach the people who have to live with it. Different buildings, same job.
Melcole does that for other people's businesses now. Custom every time, because a dental practice and a dealership do not need the same thing even when the problem sounds identical from the outside.
The company carries my daughter Melanie's name. It is on the invoice, it is on the sign, and it is on the work.
Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it.
Psalm 127:1
Background
Where the experience comes from.
Software
Four applications published and maintained, plus operational systems in production use, built end to end from database through interface to deployment. Not a project manager who hires developers. The person who writes it.
Operations
Years running full back office operations for an organization of 138 staff. Purchasing, staffing logistics, timekeeping, records, facilities, and the daily problem solving that never makes it into a job description.
Advocacy
Founder of J&M Advocacy Group, a separate practice representing families across Texas and Louisiana in ARD and IEP meetings. Different clients, same instinct: read the record, find where the system broke, fix it.

How we work
These are not aspirations. They are how every engagement runs.
- Fixed scope and a real number before anything starts
- You own everything we build for you
- Written documentation with every handoff
- Straight answers, including when the answer is no
- We say plainly when something needs an attorney, a CPA, or a specialist instead
Let's talk about your business.
No pitch deck and no pressure. Tell us what is going on and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit, what it would take, and roughly what it would cost.
